Sociocracy is an open source governance and management system that brings together the best of bottom-up and top- down systems into an integrated whole, using the power of consent, self-managing teams, and feedback loops.  Sociocracy (also known as Dynamic Governance) originated in a Dutch manufacturing firm and is now used by businesses, communities and local governments on six continents.  SociocracyUK and DecisionLab are now offering a monthly Community of Practice meeting for people leading sociocratic teams and organisations.

Participants should come ready to discuss their project or organisation with their fellow leaders.  Also, between sessions we expect participants to be available to support one another - at least a brief phone call with the person you collaborate with during the session; more if you both wish.

We will begin with a round of introductions in which you will be asked to announce your name, the name of your project or organisation, what you do for people (your key product, service or Aim), and what you are looking for now.

Over the following two hours we will:

1) Work in pairs using a semi-structured peer coaching process

2) Get instruction from an experienced Sociocratic facilitator, trainer and consultant Nathaniel Whitestone

3) Observe a consulting session where one participant works on their project with Nathaniel

If you would like to be the center of attention (and get additional coaching and consulting gratis) please contact Nathaniel.

We look forward to seeing you there!
